InfoProp
I co-founded InfoProp, a platform for sharing real estate transaction data (comparables) in Brazil. We scaled the product to 3,000 users who contributed over 250,000 comparables. InfoProp was later acquired by Grupo ZAP, which was subsequently acquired by Grupo OLX.
Taking InfoProp from
Zero to One
At InfoProp, I played a pivotal role in its growth and success. I hired and worked closely with a team of data scientists and software developers, translating user and business requirements into actionable development tasks. We scaled the platform from zero to over 230 real estate agencies, engaging 3,000 users who contributed more than 250,000 real estate comparables.
InfoProp’s Architecture
InfoProp was built with a monolithic architecture, leveraging two EC2 instances on Amazon AWS for hosting. The backend was powered by PostgreSQL, which managed our real estate transaction data efficiently. The frontend was developed using Node.js, providing a robust and scalable environment for our application. To enhance the user experience, we integrated third-party services such as Algolia for fast and responsive search capabilities, and Mapbox to provide seamless navigation within the platform.
